The new raw water pump arrived on Friday afternoon and was installed thanks to my diesel mechanic/husband!  We are ready to go (including Caleb)!

We were so anxious to get underway on Saturday, and out to Cape Lookout that we did not plan for the tide very well. Thus, it was a VERY spirited ride out of the Beaufort channel, and of course the weather report was not quite right either. The marine forecast called for 10-15 knot wind with 2-3 foot seas. But, of course, combined with an incoming tide, we had 25 knot wind and 6-7 foot seas.

We made it though …

Two other sailboats and one trawler anchored at the bight with us. This place is Little Bay times 100, and is only accessible by boat.

Blowing 25 most of night Saturday, so we had dinner aboard and early to bed.   Storms Sunday morning but got some afternoon beach time in.

Hope to get over to the lighthouse later today (Monday), but stormy weather rolling through so may be delayed until tomorrow.
