We’ve spent the last 3 weeks in port at Stingray Harbor Marina and Yacht Club regrouping for the trip south.
Sunset at Stingray Harbor Marina
We had a lot to get done and wanted to see as many people as we could. The time ended up being very impromptu, and flew by. And, there are many people we missed seeing.
It started with a trip to the D’Alessandro’s river cottage on the Potomac where Brian D. and Steve Patterson treated us to some good eats!
Next, we hit the Deltaville Museum’s Groovin concert with Robbin Thompson and Steve Bassett, rounding the night out with fun at my sister’s river house with Janet Vaughan, and Martin and Sharon Puckett. It was a good start to the land cruise!
We even squeezed in a last minute trip to the outer banks (thanks to Kathy, David, Hunter and Kali).
Some beach fun
We visited with Howard’s parents, aunt and cousins, which involved a trip to Maryland, West Virginia, and the mountains of Virginia.
Howard’s and dad, along with his aunt and his cousin’s husband Dave
We met the Patterson’s new family member, Bella.
This is Bella
My cousin Jessica and her husband Corey, and two little pirates, Cole and Dean (who are in Virginia temporarily from Denver) joined us for a quick trip to Little Bay (Pirates Beach) for some fun in the sun!
Jess is the tall one in the picture 🙂

Caleb’s glad to be back on the boat, I think …
We are on our way south now (leaving or left on Tuesday, Aug 19). We will work our way to the anchorage in Portsmouth to be positioned for the ICW (hopefully it will be better weather conditions than we had there in April). We will slowly cruise south to the Florida Keys, stopping along the way to explore various areas and hopefully visit people we know along the way. We plan to spend a few weeks or more in Beaufort, North Carolina before heading further south.
Ciao,
The Dreamer Crew

Love the new site! Hope you’re enjoying this heat wave. And yes, I strategically made myself the tallest in that picture 🙂 Very rare opportunity!
